GROW Mission & Board Members

The GROW! Community Garden is located on the grounds of Trinity Lutheran Church on Buchanan Street. The public is welcome to visit!

Our Vision Statement: The purpose of Gardeners for Regional Organic Wellbeing, or GROW!, is to support and expand the local food system while encouraging sustainable agricultural methods in Boundary County. We strive to enhance the availability of local healthy food to our community by providing the opportunity to grow organic food in a community garden and by distributing organic produce to local community groups.

GROW! provides gardening opportunities in a community setting with help from experienced gardeners, including the University of Idaho Master Gardeners, who have permanent plots in the GROW! community garden. GROW! provides gardening education, including information on planting, harvesting, pest control and composting. GROW! has a Children’s Garden and a perennial herb garden maintained by the UI Master Gardeners, which is also a Little Free Garden.

GROW! provides fresh produce for the local food bank, which serves approximately 500 local families each month. It also sells some of its produce at the Bonners Ferry Farmers Market to help cover operating costs at the community garden. GROW! has donated over a ton of fresh produce to area food banks each year since 2017. GROW! is a 501c3 nonprofit organization.
