Interested in becoming more involved in your community while learning more about gardening? Our annual membership meeting takes place this Wednesday, January 30, at 5pm at the Boundary County Extension Office meeting room, located at 6447 Kootenai Street. The public is welcome and refreshments will be provided.
We have many exciting projects planned for 2019, including Little Free Gardens for Bonners Ferry, more raised beds and a re-design for the GROW garden, and our ongoing community potluck and speaker series featuring local food system producers. Little Free Gardens are similar to Little Free Libraries, providing fresh produce to communities around the country.
Our next speaker will be Marsha Semar, who will reflect on nearly 40 years of producing organic vegetables, flowers, and plant starts in Boundary County. Her talk will take place at Memorial Hall in the Boundary County Fairgrounds on Wednesday, February 13, from 6-8pm.
